Rent-friendly Interior Trend - Wallpapers!

Wallpapers are back! I remember growing up and hating wallpapers. I always thought it was a very dated interior trend. When I thought of wallpapers, I thought of 70s shag carpet and matching floral curtains. OH, HOW I HAVE BEEN PROVEN WRONG! I guess that is what interior design is all about - rethinking old ideas. Wallpapers, especially peel and stick options, are a rent-friendly and affordable hack to give your space some life, and add a touch of boldness and interest. With that, I wanted to share some amazing examples of wallpapers done right!

BOLD KITCHEN IDEA

Credit: Lone Fox

Are you really into creative interior design, if you aren't religiously watching Drew from Lone Fox on Youtube? I recently came across his channel, and it's one of the most creative and most importantly cost-sensitive interior design channels. His kitchen at his current rental was something I absolutely adored! I will most definitely be adding this project to my list of to-dos when I move into my flat!

COSY FLORAL NOOK as seen in Selena Gomez's home

When looking at celebrity homes, I think a lot of people focus on the size. The size of the rooms, the size of the pool, the size of the kitchen. However, if you look closely you can learn a lot about creative interiors design and decor ideas. Essentially, a free lesson from expert designers.

I particularly loved this cosy nook at Selena Gomez's however-many-million dollar mansion.

Lessons learnt: contrast dark wallpapers with bold chairs... and as always comfort is key!

NEVER TOO SMALL

One of the best places to use wallpaper is in the bathroom, and in fact, the smaller the bathroom the better! Create that wow factor by adding a bold print! Above are just some examples from Pinterest (sources unknown) and the ideas are endless. I love going to quirky restaurants and being wowed by their bathrooms. Why not have that same experience at home!

HOME MURAL IDEAS

Take wall art to a whole new level with your own mural. The best place to find some creative mural solutions for your home is ETSY. There are some great artists and truly talented people creating these wall murals. Whilst these can be anywhere in your home, I recommend giving your bedroom the ultimate backdrop.

I hope you enjoyed these rent-friendly hacks for your home!
