As war unfolds in Ukraine, here are some meaningful ways you can help. Whilst there are limitations to how you can donate supplies (logistically) - there are some great organisations who could use your support to provide aid. Here are 4 meaningful ways you can help.
Donate
Any financial donations or contributions can help to provide aid to those in need. However be careful of potential scammers out there who may be taking advantage of current circumstances.
By donating to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, you'll help DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) charities provide food, water, shelter and healthcare to refugees and displaced families. Here is the link: https://donation.dec.org.uk/ukraine-humanitarian-appeal
UNICEF is calling for an immediate ceasefire. Homes, schools, water supplies and hospitals have been damaged or destroyed. Children have been separated from their families and hundreds of thousands of people have been left without safe water, electricity or water. Explosives including landmines are a daily threat to children’s lives. More than 1 million people have now fled Ukraine, with the number expected to climb to 5 million. UNICEF is working round the clock to keep families safe. Donate to UNICEF here: https://www.unicef.org.uk/donate/donate-now-to-protect-children-in-ukraine/

For those who may have the resources to provide sponsorship, sign up to the gov.co.uk email list and get notified when you can apply to become a sponsor: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/local-sponsorship-scheme-for-ukraine
Support Journalists
Another great way to help is to show your support for journalists covering the latest news by staying on the front line. By supporting journalists, you will also showing support to editorial independence. Here are a couple publications:
